Intensive Shampoo & Conditioner

What is good about this product…
Unico is the creation of Melbourne hairdresser Sofia Basile. Australian owned & produced – this homegrown brand is eco friendly, and does not test on animals. Two very important factors for me when it comes to any beauty product I am using. The intensive shampoo & conditioner is designed for hair that has been chemically treated & may be a little ‘stressed’ by the elements. My hair had definitely been in that state recently, and I was pleasantly surprised when after one day of using these products my frazzled hair seemed to settle down a bit. The smell is pleasant, fresh and with a hint of lemon. (we all know how important good smelling hair is!) and although it does take a fair squeeze of product to cover my mop of hair, the shampoo lathers up really well and the conditioner feels rich and moisturising without being too heavy. Both products contain added UV protection, which is very handy for those who will be battling the Australian summer sun. It’s also handy for those who colour their hair, it will help retain your colour and prevent fading. The packaging is basic, but bright green and very summery – sure to cheer you up first thing in the morning when you step into the shower!
What is not so good about this product…
The only real problem I can think of with these products are the size/price ratio. The bottles retail at $19.95 each for 250ml of product. But honestly I don’t think that is too much to pay for an Australian owned and produced product that is good for the environment and great for your hair.
Hair Serum

What is good about this product…
Can I say everything? Everything. As above, the product is Australian made and produced, eco friendly and with no testing carried out on animals. On top of that, it works. I use a tiny drop of the serum warmed up between my hands and applied to my hair before and after blow drying. It manages to tame my flyaways and give shine to my hair without being too heavy, or leaving any greasy residue. Which is something of a miracle for me because even though I have quite a lot of hair, it is fine and can easily be weighed down by this kind of product. The Unico Hair Serum retails at $22.95 for 50ml but a little of this product goes a long way, so it’s definitely worth the price.
What is not so good about this product…
I honestly can’t think of anything that I don’t like about this product. Well sometimes the lid is hard to put back on the bottle but that is about all I can think of.
