Autumn is fast approaching, and although the temperature gage insists on hovering around “incinerate” I am looking towards the cooler months and thinking about where I want to go with my wardrobe this year. I think that by now I have a fairly firm grasp on my own personal style. I know what suits my body type, and try to buy pieces that I will actually wear, rather than things that will sit in my closet for a few months before being given way. So here is the general outline of what I have/want for Autumn/Winter 2010 -
Tops
** sheer black / print / floral blouses (will look to buy 2 new blouses this season)
* black cashmere v-neck sweater
** black cashmere cardigan (x2)
* black studded silk tank
black silk/jersey tee
elizabeth and james black satin blouse
Bottoms
** black pencil skirts (will need to purchase 2 new skirts for work)
black cigarette style pants
** dark denim jeans (will need 1-2 new pairs)
Dresses
* asos dark purple/floral print dress [ordered]
basque dark green/black peacock print dress
black/grey polka dot print babydoll dress
ann taylor black dress w. rosette shoulders
Outerwear
* black long length blazer
* black leather jacket
black tie-waist trench
Accessories
* cashmere tube scarf
house of harlow peacock ring
* oversized ray ban wayfarers
* oversized black leather handbag
3.1 phillip lim black patent clutch
vintage peacock clutch
* oversized black leather clutch
mimco black embellished hair piece

tiffany & co initial necklace
* black pearl earrings
Shoes
* lanvin black leather ballet flats
country road black leather ballet flats
black patent ankle boots
wittner flat black leather boots
wittner black patent pointed flats
chanel burgundy round toe heels
All items that have an asterix next to them are things I’ll need to find & purchase. I probably won’t manage to get everything that I want, but hopefully I’ll find some really beautiful pieces this season. As for hair and makeup, I’m finding this picture of Miranda Kerr to be a source of inspiration -
As I do at the start of every season, I will be cleaning out my wardrobe tomorrow and sorting out the “do not want” the “maybe want” and the “must keep” clothes from spring/summer, looking through my stored autumn/winter wardrobe and figuring out what I can make work during the transitional stage between seasons… Do you do re-organise your wardrobe at the start of the new season?
