Project 10 Pan

Well, the time has come. I need to embark on the dreaded Project 10 Pan! I guess I shouldn’t look at it as the “dreaded” project because I’ll probably never accomplish it if I think like that… Basically I have a cupboard overflowing with products that I don’t feel like I’m getting enough use out of. I keep buying new things and not making the most of the things I already have. So I’ve decided to do a project 10 pan for haircare, skincare and a project 5 pan for makeup. I don’t really have THAT many body products to justify a project 10 or 5 pan, so I’m leaving that one out for now. If you haven’t heard of Project 10 Pan before, it’s basically where people who have too many products attempt to use up 10 things before purchasing anything new. My one exception for this rule will be if it’s something that I feel that I have to replace. Foundation (of which I only have 1), mascara, moisturiser and facial cleanser will need to be replaced if I run out of those before the 10 pan finishes. I’m pretty sure that with everything else I have a few back up products to use so I should be okay.

I will be keeping a tally in the sidebar for products I use up as I go. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join me on this… If you feel like you’re spending too much on skincare, makeup and haircare and want to use up a few things in your cupboard – feel free to jump on board!

Product Review: Evo Mister Fantastic

You may or may not recall a recent product review I did for haircare brand Evo. I boldly claimed that they were one of my new favourite hair care brands. After testing out a second product from their range, the ‘Mister Fantastic Texture Spray’ I am well and truly hooked on Evo.

What is great about this product…

Once again the cheeky little spiel on the front of the bottle had me giggling. Any product that can reference Columbo on their packaging is okay by me. The smell of the spray is fruit and sweet, and quite similar to that of the End Doctor. It’s easy to use: you can either apply to damp hair for wet curl sets, waving and blow drying or to dry hair for hot tool styling and adding texture. Here is the best thing about this product: It works. I have very fine, straight hair (with a very slight wave if the weather is humid) and when I let it dry naturally it just sort of… hangs. Today I let my hair dry naturally, added some of the mister fantastic to the bottom half of my hair, scrunched it with my hands and voila! Instant texture.

It may not be a dramatic difference, but I think there is a definite difference in the body and texture of my hair. This would be a perfect tool for creating good bed hair, or beachy waves. I love it. (ha, hello flyaways in the first picture! eek!)

What is not so great about this product…

My only issue with the Mister Fantastic spray is that if you apply too much it can leave a slight hint of crispiness to your hair. BUT once I ran my wide-tooth comb through my hair a couple of times all crispiness was gone, and my hair continued to retain the texture and body.

Evo products are available for purchase in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Check out thier store locator to find a stockist near you.
