Product Review: Nivea Rich Nourishing Body Moisturiser

What is great about this product…

This moisturiser has been an absolute god send to my rather neglected body as of late. As winter comes to an end I’m finding that I am on the hunt for super rich and nourishing body moisturisers, and so far this one takes the cake. It is one of the richest body moisturisers that I have stumbled across that doesn’t label itself as a body butter. “Ingredients naturally found in the skin are harnessed and then combined with an intensely rich and creamy Vitamin E and Almond Oil formulation.” I can really notice (and quite enjoy) the almond oil factor in the lotion. It has that added richness and depth that I usually accustom to a body oil. It is very thick and very creamy, but sinks into skin almost instantly. I love the way my skin looks and feels after using this product, it has a very healthy glow about it and feels very hydrated and moisturised. The price point is very reasonable, with the Nivea Rich Nourishing Body Moisturiser retailing for $5.40 AUD for 250ml $7.99 AUD for 400ml. After a week of using this product at night before bed, my skin has lost it’s winter dryness and looks prepped and ready for spring/summer!

What is not so great about this product…

I can’t quite describe the smell (I’m sure you know by now how bad I am at scent descriptions) but whatever it is, I’m not sure I like it. It is quite overwhelming, and the fragrance seems to linger for quite a while after application. Which normally would be a good thing, if I liked the smell! That is the only downside to the moisturiser that I could find, and smell is always a personal preference, so I will still rate the product rather high.

My Rating: 7.5/10

The Nivea Rich Nourishing Body Moisturiser is available for purchase nationally in supermarkets, selected pharmacies and major retail outlets.

Newsflash: Evo Relaunched

I must have been living under a bad hair covered rock, because I completely missed the news that EVO have relaunched their website to include an online store. “pandemonium is set to break out in scenes of hysteria as people swarm towards the evo® online store in an attempt to be saved from their ordinary selves. not since that fateful day when britney shaved her head has the web buzzed with such hair-raising excitement.” The new site was launched on Monday the 2nd of August 2010 and now includes a decidated online store to make the EVO brand more accessible than ever. One of the new features is that consumers are asked to select their favourite EVO salon so that they can share in the online sales. The site now also features in depth styling tutorials including downloadable video tutorials! Which is great for those of you who are like me and have the best of intentions when it comes to trying new hair styles, but really have no clue how to achieve them. Signing up and becoming an “evoist” gives you the opportunity to receive special product offers, bonuses and all the latest EVO news. What are you waiting for? Head on over and check it out!
