Product Review: Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster

At the turn of every season my skin decides that it wants to relive it’s youth, and reverts back to being that of a teenager. This is rather frustrating for me, as you can imagine. For some reason this spring my skin decided that after a week of oil slick hell, it wanted to dry out and become flaky and rather gross. Nothing had changed in my skincare routine or diet so I put it down to seasonal change, as always. Lucky for me, I was sent a bottle of the Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster to trial and review. Hello saviour. I love the Dermalogica range, and now I have one more product from this brand to add to my Holy Grail list. “Dermalogica’s new Skin Hydrating Booster is a super-saturated, clear fluid which replenishes Hyaluronic Acid, a predominant glycosaminoglycan found in the skin. Hyaluronic Acid is capable of holding at least 1000 time its weight in water, making it the most powerful humectant and moisturiser available. This product also contains Panthenol and Algae Extract to regulate trans-epidermal water loss and restore moisture balance.” I’ve been using the Skin Hydration Booster at night, every couple of days and I’ve noticed a lot of difference in the general look and feel of my skin. You only need 1 or 2 drops of the product to cover your whole face, and the results were noticeable (for me at least) as soon as the next morning. My skin feels soft and hydrated and looks ‘refreshed’, like I’ve had a really good night sleep. The Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster retails for $100.00 AUD and can be purchased at Dermalogica stockists, or online from Australian beauty retailer Adore Beauty.

  1. I’ve read about this – definitely a good one to have on standby in the bathroom! :)

  2. hmmm that sounds like something that I need. My skin is a nightmare and I from everything I’ve read on your blog it seems like, we have the same skin type, a great product to try out.

  3. Hmm, I agree with Claire, that sounds like something I need as well.
