Goal #98 of my 101 things to do in 1001 days is to learn to meditate properly. So when I found out that the natural therapy centre near my house was offering an 8 week meditation course I signed up right away. I had my first class tonight, and I already know that I am going to love it. I adored everything about the class, from the location (inside a day care centre, which may seem strange to some but I have nothing but good memories of day care centres so I was instantly at ease) to the group of people in the class with me. After the hour of meditation we sat in a group and discussed what we thought about the experience, what we liked and disliked and what we thought we needed to improve on. I definitely need to improve the depth of my breathing, and about half way through my mind wandered a little bit that might have been because I was hungry… Lesson learned and I am eager to see what week 2 will bring!
