Hair Inspiration – Lauren Conrad

Around 2 years ago, I made a huge decision and lopped off around 75% of my hair. It went from halfway down my back to a short concave bob just under my ears. I loved it at the time, but god was it painful to grow out. 2 years later I have all of my hair back and once again I am itching to try something new. My best friend and I have a pact that neither of us will cut our hair because once one does, the other will want to and then it will take years for us to grow the length back again. So now I am considering a colour change. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to pull it off, but I am seriously considering taking the above picture of Lauren Conrad into a hairdresser and demanding that they make me look as fabulous if not more. What do you guys think? With my cool-toned super fair skin do you think I could pull off the above hair colour?

  1. I think that hair colour would look great on you!

I cut off my long hair about a year and a half ago and despite my best efforts to grow it out, I keep going to the hair dressers every time I feel like getting ‘a new look’ and inevitably it has stayed the same length since then. Pictures like the above make me want to cry.

So I will live my long hair dreams vicariously through you :)

  2. Definitely! it would look lovely on you. Go for it!

I love having “short” hair (shoulder length) long hair always makes me feel irritated for some reason. I only grow it out to donate.

    • It’s the in-between short hair and long hair growing out stage that I really don’t like! Maybe I should invest in wigs or something for the growing out period, lol.

  3. That is hilarious – I used the same pic for my post today too! She looks fantastic and her hair is great that touch darker.

  4. I think it would be perfect for you Jessica. It is beautiful- how good is the condition of your hair at the moment though? Because the appeal of this colour is 50% to do with the actual colour and 50% to do with the glassy shine.

  5. I’m pale and I have a similar hair colour just a little lighter. I think it will look good on you!
