Product Review: Aromantik “Merchants Of Menace” EDT

I was recently contacted by Sally from Aromantik Natural Perfumes and I jumped at the chance to sample the Australian made, 100% natural fragrance range. I am really glad that I did, because I have since discovered my Autumn fragrance for this year, the ‘Merchants of Menace’ Eau De Toilette. This is definitely not a scent that I would have selected on my own, so I’m grateful to have been exposed to it by chance. I am going to steal the description of the scent from the Aromantik site, because it’s far better than anything I could try to come up with. “Contains lashings of 3 aphrodisiac inducing oils – the best quality Dark Indonesian Patchouli I have ever come across, a gorgeous Organic Lavender grown in Provence France, and a luscious French Cocoa Absolute. Add to this a touch of spearmint for a refreshingly unique scent that smells almost good enough to eat!” On me, the fragrance smells like an adult version of musk stick lollies. And it is divine. As the fragrance contains natural oils, it will warm up to your own skin chemistry and has the potential to create a smell that is unique to you. The lifespan of the scent was pretty good, it lasts quite well throughout the working day and I was actually stopped twice on my way home from work one evening to be asked my two different women what perfume I was wearing. For me, that speaks volumes about the product. It is a unisex scent, which means your boyfriend can steal it from you if he likes it enough and I would describe it as quite a spicy, warm scent which would be perfect for autumn/winter. The Aromantik ‘Merchants of Menace’ EDT retails for $60 AUD for 50ml and can be purchased online from the Aromantik site. If you’d like to try before you invest in a full size bottle, you can buy a 4ml sample spray for $12 AUD (pictured above). (note: this product was sent to me for consideration for review)

  1. that sounds awesome! I like wearing unisex scents because I hate overly sweet or floral scents.

    Love the name too
