This gem of an eyeliner went unused in my makeup collection for the longest time. Thankfully though, it’s now taken it’s rightful place in the top 3 favourite eyeliners in my collection. Eyeliners seem to last forever (I have never, ever finished an eyeliner) and I’ve had this one for around 5 years now and it’s still close to full size. The shade Bonsai is a gorgeous mossy green colour that really brings out some of the green elements in my eye colour, which is nice.
As you can see from the swatch above, it is heavily pigmented (the picture was taken after one swipe) and is smooth and easy to apply. The Chanel Precision Eyeliner also comes with a smudger at the opposite end to the pencil, but to be honest I never really use it because it’s really hard and not very easy to use on the gentle skin around the eye area. I’m not entirely sure how much the Chanel Precision Eyeliners retain for, your best bet is to check out your local Chanel counter to see if they have it in stock.

For quite a while now, I’ve been stuck in my ways of using rosewater mist as the balancing agent between cleansing and moisturising. Recently though I decided to try out the Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner, because it seemed like it would be quite gentle and soothing on my recently troubled skin. Thankfully, it worked out to be just as gentle and calming as it sounds. I use this product by soaking a cotton bud in it and applying it to my skin straight after cleansing and it instantly settles down my skin and calms all redness. The toner has no scent to it, is alcohol free and is ideal for those of you like me with sensitive skin. It also doesn’t seem to break me out at all, which is a huge bonus. The Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner retails for $17.95 AUD and can be purchased online from
The Body Shop Australia’s online store.

My polish preferences for the cold winter months tend to lean towards nice dark plum tones, deep burgundys, a simple soft pink or the occasional rock star black (in which case I am mocked at work for being a goth… “don’t talk to Jess, she’s a goth!”). In particular, these five shades are on high rotation on my nails this season – Mecca Cosmetica Audrey, Mecca Cosmetica Rosaline, OPI for Sephora Meet For Drinks, OPI for Sephora Brunette On The Internet & Face Of Australia Iron Ore.

Despite the fact that it is sans packaging, this is THE prettiest peach blush I have ever come across. The OCD part of my personality hates the fact that I do not have a proper home for this gorgeous little blush, but such is life. The reason that it is sans packaging is because I fell in love with it after seeing it pictured in someone’s beauty stash pictures over at the Adore Forums, many moons ago. It then popped up in a swap thread so I jumped all over it as soon as I saw it. It’s been an ongoing love affair ever since it arrived. I’m not sure how it would translate on a darker skin tone, but on super fair skin the Peach Nuance blush is a gorgeous subtle peachy-coral. It’s one of my favourites for summer, but for some reason it’s been one of my most worn blushes this Winter too. There is also a Rose Nuance blush out there somewhere but I am struggling to hunt it down. If you see it anywhere please let me know! I’m also sorry to say that I’m not entirely sure where you can purchase the Peach Nuance blush from, (terrible blogging etiquette, I know) but it’s definitely worth the time to try and track one down if you so desire!

Many, many moons ago I
posted about a haul that I’d acquired from the Flourish Bath & Beauty Etsy store. There were a couple of stand out items within this order, and one of them was the Almond Milk Body Lotion. This is probably one of my favourite scents of all time (ALL TIME). I also have the perfume oil, and I’ve been wearing it practically every day (paired with the moisturiser) since the beginning of Winter. If you’re a sweet-scent favouring gal, this is for you. I think
Dee (at least I believe it was Dee?) summed it up perfectly when she said it smells like a baby’s head. The product itself is nice and thick (not quite body butter thick, but quite rich all the same) and feels very moisturising. The gorgeous scent lingers for most of the day, but usually fades by the afternoon which is a little bit disappointing, because it smells so good. I also really like the packaging, and was pleasantly surprised by all of the Flourish products that I ordered. I find sometimes home-made products don’t have the nicest packaging, but this range is just gorgeous. The Flourish Almond Milk Body Lotion retails for $8 USD and can be purchased from the
Flourish Bath & Body store.
