Product Review: Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer

I am a relative newbie to Kiehl’s skin care, and when I placed an order for my long lusted after Cucumber Herbal Alcohol Free Toner I decided to order the Ultra Facial Moisturizer to go along with it. I’ve never really settled on a day-to-day moisturizer. I do have a soft spot for Dermalogica ‘s Active Moist but I’m still not sure that it’s holy grail material for me. Now that I’ve been using it for a little while I think I can safely say that the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer is fast on it’s way to becoming my new favourite and is sitting on the precipice of grail’dom. I love it because it is lightweight and fragrance free, and leaves my skin feeling richly hydrated without being too heavy. It does take a little bit of time to sink into the skin, so I generally have to wait a minute or so before applying my makeup. I have sensitive skin that is prone to breaking out when I introduce a new product into my regime and as of yet the Kiehl’s Moisturizer hasn’t had an adverse affect on my skin, so I think that is a good sign. Also, as superficial as it is and has absolutely no relation to the quality of the product whatsoever, I really love the packaging and have always loved the Kiehl’s brand aesthetic. The Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer retails for $22 AUD and can be purchased online from the Kiehl’s Australian website.

3 Thoughts on “Product Review: Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer

  1. This sounds delightful!

  2. Great review! This is so on my list to try now!

  3. I use the Active Moist too and the Hydrating Booster from Dermalogica, it had helped me with my dry patches on my cheeks which I don’t seem to get anymore after continuous use but I am seeing if the Ole Henriksen sheer transformation will replace it. I’ve just started using one of Kiehls product, the Line reducing eye brightening concentrate, it’s been two days and my fine lines are still there. I think we have very very similar skin type as I am using quite the same products you are. I’ve been wanting to try other Kiehls products but I’m hesitant to put anything on my face because I have very sensitive skin too and it will react and turn red.
