Product Review: L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil

I bought this shower oil by mistake a little while ago (I thought it was apple scented, I have no idea why) but I’m glad that I did because I’ve grown to love it. At first it took me a little while to adjust to the consistency of the product as I was used to using shower gels and lotions and this is a shower ‘oil’, which I had never used before. Despite being an oil it does still foam up slightly on use, but nowhere near as much as a shower gel usually does. After rinsing my skin feels soft and moisturised, and the almond scent of the oil lingers on my skin for a little while after showering. The fragrance itself is hard to define, it does in a way smell like almonds but it’s more of a fresh and tangy scent than anything too sweet. It took a while for me to get used to the fragrance (perhaps because I was so disappointed that it didn’t smell like apples?) but now I really like it. The L’Occitane Almond Shower Gel retails for $34.95 AUD and can be purchased from L’Occitane online.

  1. I like the idea of an almond experience in the shower 🙂 I always tend to buy products and get them home before realising that they aren’t what I thought they were/what I was expecting. Must be that I rush too much;)
I’ve never used a shower oil, seems interesting, do you use it with a shower sponge etc or by itself?

  2. Oh I’ve always wanted to try this!
