‘Lust Have It’ April 2012

The down side to living in WA is the fact that we seem to get everything last. Apparently this also includes deluxe sample subscription boxes because by the time my Lust Have It box arrives every month I’ve usually already gone and ruined the surprise for myself by reading about the contents on someone else’s blog (usually this one). Contained in April’s box were: emerginC Kombucha Cleanser $44 for 120ml, emerginC Phytocell Detox Mask $65 for 50ml, emerginC Phytocell Moisturiser $105 for 50ml, I Nuovi Glitterati Cosmetic Glitter (my inner 13 year old is dying to wear this with some butterfly hair clips to a screening of Titanic 3D, but as I am actually 27 years old I think I’ll give it a miss) $19.95 for 2.5g, De Lorenzo Elements Ocean Mist Sea Salt Styling Spray $23.95 for 195ml, True Solutions All Day Tinted Moisturising Cream SPF 30+ $60 for 100ml & Spa Fresh Blends Romantic Discovery Bathing Ritual $15.95 for 250 ml. All up I’m not that excited about any of the products, though the “bathing ritual” smells really nice so I know I’ll get usage out of that. Value for money wise this was a good month. I mean, on top of everything else I got $19.95 worth of body glitter!!! Score.

That also appeared to be the downside of living in Tasmania this month too! Don’t you think that it is funny that LHI announce that they have “brought” Glossybox and all of a sudden the deplorable service provided by GB plagues LHI?? My conspiracy theory is that it is GB who have brought LHI!! Interesting to see what happens with the May box.
Aside from that I thought the box was quite crappy. Not sure what a 37 is meant to do with glitter but I do know it’s a bugger to clean up once you spill it in the bathroom.

    • I am curious to see how the boxes continue moving forward from the joining of businesses… If it continues to be crappy I’m going to cancel my subscription and stop my monthly whinging!

Funnily enough I was pretty happy with this month’s LHI! Does help that I had that De Lorenzo Spray on my wish list…not sure why exactly, but something I had read had raved about it! And fortunately my current sea salt spray is almost out (dang they take forever to use up!!). And I’ve been intrigued to try the True Solutions TM thanks to all the raving by the primped ladies. I thought the Emergin-C samples were cute and will be interested to try them. Totally hear you on the glitter though – when they were hinting on facebook about some hot trend they were putting in, I prayed for it to be something good, was kinda devo when I realised it was going to be glitter. I mean, seriously?! Is a little tub of glitter really considered to be a luxe sample?!

    • Actually I’m looking forward to trying out the tinted moisturiser too, it doesn’t seem to be too bad of a match on my skin thankfully!

  3. Cosmetic glitter = chuck it into a clear nail polish 🙂

  4. Heh, glitter. The only way to wear that is in big chunks on your cheekbones so you look like you have leprosy like year 6 class photo Michaela did.
