Product Review: Organix Keratin Therapy Shampoo & Conditioner

After all these years, I am still yet to settle on a shampoo and conditioner combination that I feel really work well with my hair. I was sent some of the Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy range a little while ago, and I was excited to try out the shampoo and conditioner after hearing Michele1218 rave about them in a few of her videos. After trialling them for a few weeks I’ve come to the conclusion that unfortunately I just don’t love these products as much as Michele does. The shampoo does a good job of cleaning my hair, but it also strips it to the point of being tangled and knotted. Following it with the conditioner is not enough to release the knots, so I am forced to follow with a detangling spray every time I use this shampoo. While I feel like the combination of these two products does do a decent job of cleaning my hair, I don’t feel like they do anything to nourish or moisturise my hair in any way. I also find the packaging of the conditioner to be quite bothersome, as the plastic container is hard to squeeze properly so once you’ve used up about 1/4 of the conditioner you’ve got to sit the bottle upside down, which it is not designed for (mine is currently balanced precariously upside down in my shower caddy). I do however like the smell of both the shampoo & conditioner, they have a warm caramel scent that makes these products really pleasant to use now that the weather is cooling down. Honestly, I will finish these bottles up but I don’t think I would bother repurchasing them in the future. The Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo & Conditioner retail for $19.99 AUD each and can be purchased from supermarkets and pharmacies Australia wide. (note: I was sent this product for consideration for review)

  1. Thanks for posting this Jess! I saw these on michele1218′s channel too and was tempted to purchase them but I think I will give them a miss now.

  2. Bummer, I agree it’s so hard to find the perfect hair product combo.

  3. I’ve not tried these two, but I’ve not been a fan of anything from Organix to bother trying anything else.

  4. I really like the coconut versions. I think the brazilian kind is for thick hair.
