Product Review: LUSH Sympathy For The Skin Body Lotion

I’ve been searching for what feels like forever for a moisturising body lotion that has a neutral but sweet fragrance that isn’t too overpowering. Guess what kids? I’ve found it. I had no intention of buying a body lotion when I went into LUSH a couple of weekends ago, but I’m glad that I picked this up because this baby is on the fast track to holy grail status. The smell is hard for me to describe because it’s so subtle, but it hints at vanilla and banana (the banana makes sense, as the product contains real mashed banana – yum). This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for in a body lotion, something with a very light but sweet milky scent that doesn’t overpower my perfume and a moisturiser that is lightweight but also feels hydrating. I love this lotion and would highly recommend you pick it up next time you’re at a LUSH store. The Sympathy For The Skin body lotion retails for 29.95 AUD and can be purchased from LUSH stores throughout Australia.

  1. Looks amazing. Aside from frequent moisturising of the top of my hands and my elbows, I’ve yet to get into the habit of moisturising any other parts of my body… any tips?

    • No tips unfortunately, with the cold weather lately I’ve been really bad with moisturising too! Usually when I hope out of the shower it’s so freezing I just want to get straight into my big fluffy robe!

  2. Ooh banana, don’t think I’ve tried any beauty type product with banana in it. I think mixed with the vanilla it would be nice :) I’m lusting over the Ro’s body conditioner but will check this out as well :)

  3. I really want to try this after my P50P!

  4. Do you have any idea how this compares with Dream Cream? I’ve been using Dream Cream but while it’s amazing for irritation, I wouldn’t mind something a tad more moisturising…
