I found out a couple of weeks ago that I was pre-approved for finance, which was the point at which I finally allowed myself to start mentally planning my decor and furnishings. I have a general idea of how I want my house to look, but I’m keeping things flexible and trying to remember that I may have to start cheap and cheerful just until things settle down and I can start putting extra money aside for furnishings and fancy plates and life sized Darren Criss cardboard cutouts and such. I’ve started purchasing things with the intent of using them in the new house, so I’ll share with you a couple of the things that I’ve hoarded so far.
To Build A Home Pt. 2
There was a big stretch of nothing-really-happening between my initial post regarding my new house and quite recently. Things have started to pick up speed, progress is being made and everything is about to snowball as things (finance-wise) get finalized in December.
I’m planning on writing a checklist of all of the essentials that I’ll need so I can tick off what I already own and what I want to buy and have brand new in the house. I’ll also be making a mega-massive IKEA wishlist because I want to live in a white wood Swedish wonderland.
