Project 100 Pan (repurchased)

Nivea Fragrance Free Facial Wipes – These are my favourite makeup wipes, and I tend to buy three or four packets at a time when I place my regular chemist warehouse order. I tend to go through a pack per month on average.

Boscia Blotting Linens – As an oily-faced girl, these are an absolute necessity for me. Again, I remind myself that oily faced people tend to look younger for longer, because all too often it feels like a god damn BURDEN.

Givenchy Photo Perfexion Foundation in Perfect Ivory – This is my all-time favourite foundation, and despite having about 6 other foundations sitting unloved in my makeup collection I keep reaching for this one time and time again.

Skindanavia No More Shine Makeup Finishing Spray – I’ve mentioned before that I don’t know how great this is at keeping ‘shine’ at bay, but it certainly does a great job at setting my makeup and making sure it doesn’t look too dusty. Great for freshening up your face in the mornings.

Firebird Perfume Oil in Almond Milk – This is one of my top five favourite perfumes, and it’s rumoured that the scent has been discontinued, so I panic-purchased 3 new bottles just before this one ran out.

Thoughts of the week…

01) The Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque is my favourite skin care product at the moment.

02) I watched the first episode of The Fall last week, and not only is it great to have Gillian Anderson back on my screen but it’s also a joy to have a weekly viewing of the wonder that is Jamie Dornan.

03) I realized earlier this week that I’ll need to use up all of my bath products before I move into my new house, because I will no longer have a bath to use! Here begins Bathathon 2013.

04) I’ve had the Great Gatsby soundtrack on repeat all week and I now look forward to the day I don’t have Kid Koala’s rendition of Crazy In Love stuck in my head on a constant loop.

05) I’m not loving my new hair. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to cut it right above the ‘awkward hair’ length. And now we wait for it to grow grow grow…

06) I ordered some Paula’s Choice skin care to try out, at Beatideas’ suggestion. I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes.

07) 33 Animals That Cannot Even Handle It Right Now

08) Lauren Conrad’s tips for decorating your home from scratch. The one that stands out for me is making sure you have one or two investment pieces in the main living areas to make the cheap furniture look more expensive. Definitely something I’ll be putting into practice.

09) The moment I’ve been waiting for since I was a young’n finally arrived, Liv Tyler did an Into The Gloss feature. If you’ve ever wanted the chance to peek into her bathroom cupboard, now you can.

10) Not only did Laura Marling release a new album this week, but she announced her Australian tour – including a Perth show. I snapped up tickets as soon as they went on sale and I’m extremely excited to see her play live.

Product Review: MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study

I have a love/hate relationship with cream eyeshadows. I’m currently in the LOVE phase, and wore MAC’s Bare Study on my eyes every day last month. This is a gorgeous neutral champagne shade that can be worn on its own or underneath other shadow to amplify the colour. I love wearing this underneath my everyday eyeshadow shade (MAC’s Orb) to give it a shimmery undertone. I find that when I wear this on it’s own it has a tendency to crease on my crepey eyelids but if I wear it underneath a powder shadow it lasts for the entire day without creasing or fading. I’ve had this product for quite a while, and although it’s shrunken a little bit in the pot but it’s still as creamy and opaque to apply as when I first opened it. MAC Bare Study Cream Eyeshadow retails for $35 AUD and is available for purchase from MAC online.

Winter Reading List (+ Autumn Reviews)

(note: I will be reading book 2 of 1Q84)

Ten by Gretchen McNeil 4/10 – This was an easy read, I think I managed to get through it over the course of one weekend. Not an amazing book, but good for what it was – a fairly basic young adult thriller.

The Death of Bees by Lisa O’Donnell 5/10 – I had high hopes for this book, and enjoyed how it started out but wasn’t that impressed with where it ended up. Another fairly easy read although I slowed down a little bit towards the end because I just wasn’t that interested in picking it up.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald 8/10 – I read this because I wanted to have it fresh in my mind before seeing the film when it came out this year. I love this story, and it’s nice and short so it was easy to devour in a few sittings. I found that while I was reading it I was imagining the characters as the actors playing them in the new film, which was interesting.

Red Dragon by Thomas Harris 7/10 – I’m in love with the new Hannibal TV series that started up recently, and I’m now inspired to read the books that the show is based on. I started at the beginning of the series with Red Dragon. I enjoyed this, it was another easy read and I devoured it (lol) pretty quickly.

Thoughts of the week…

01) I’m in the market for some skinny jeans that hit just at the ankle. I’m the perfect height for regular length jeans and never have to get them hemmed but all of my jeans are slightly too long to wear comfortably with ankle boots without too much additional fabric bulk at the ankle.

02) Thanks to Clare for suggesting this song to me in the comments of a previous TOTW post. I’ve been listening to it non-stop all week. DARREN CRISS Y’ALL.

03) I cut all of my hair off.

04) I’m obsessed with wine coloured lipstick at the moment. I wore Chanel’s Rivoli for the first time last weekend, and have NARS Palais Royale on it’s way to me now.

05) I managed to snag front row tickets to a little thing called the Red Tour.

06) I really need to start cutting back on the amount of coffee that I drink. I have two cups of coffee a day, but the coffee I order has 3 shots in it, so…

07) I posted the link to this etsy store last week and I just couldn’t resist picking up this little beauty for myself.

09) I was lucky enough to receive a Clarisonic Mia for review earlier this week and I am obsessed with it. It takes a while to get used to but as someone who is obsessed with exfoliation, this is pretty much skin care perfection.

10) 26 Everyday Occurances In Australia.
