Thoughts of the week…

01) Beyonce performing at the Grammy Awards = perfection.

02) I’ve joined the majority of the civilized world and have started watching ‘Girls’. I love it, but I hate every single character on the show, which I’m led to believe is the general response when first watching it. I’m hooked though, and managed to get through the entire first season in a week.

03) I happened upon the Original Source Vanilla Milk and Raspberry shower gel at Woolworths last week and OH MY GOD GUYS. Do you know how tempted I am to open the bottle and drink it? It smells AMAZING. Like strawberry milk.

04) The Mindy Project half-season hiatus was TOO MUCH FOR ME TO BEAR.

05) Paolo Nutini is releasing an album this year. I can’t wait.

06) Sarah posted a link to this website on twitter during the week, and it is a dangerous place to be if you’re in the mood to shop.

07) Paula’s Choice are having an Australia Day celebration 50% off sale, but be quick because it ends tomorrow!

08) 50 Essential Mystery Novels That Everyone Should Read

09) I am obsessed with this song. And this song.

10) You all need to be reading this book. It’s funny, and sad, and touching, and just plain sweet. I’m loving it. It’s my favourite book of the year so far.

9 Thoughts on “Thoughts of the week…

  1. I didn’t love Beyoncé’s opener, nor Taylor’s hair tossing. Macklemore was amazing though, as was Sara Bareilles and Pink. And I enjoyed Robin Thicke and Keith.

All of Me is one of those songs I didn’t really rate when I first heard it but it’s so simple and lovely in that simplicity. Obsessed too.

    • Taylor did that headbangin’ show when she sang the song on tour, so I wasn’t surprised. Didn’t like it (or feel like it suited the song) then, or at the Grammys. Ah, well.

I love All Of Me even more after following John Legend’s wife on Twitter and Instagram. She’s a hoot.

  2. I actually hate that shower gel. It’s in my shower ATM and I can’t WAIT to be done with it.

  3. I love The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (although I always forget what it’s called). It takes a while to get into because of the way you get to know the characters, but once you do they are amazingly sweet. A book I definitely wanted to keep reading after I’d finished and one that I give as gifts and loan to friends.

  4. That shower gel is just SO sensationally good smelling – definitely a great cheapie!
I’m going to check out this young Mr Nutini, looks interesting and add the fact that he’s Scottish and I’m hooked 🙂 oh and love Jon Legend too! All fo Me is the song I want my first dance too…
Have you listened to the 24 hour version of Pharrell’s song? Oh and thanks for the book recc!
