Thoughts of the week…

01) I randomly clicked on a news article during the week to read about Margot Robbie changing her hair from blonde to brunette, only to discover that it’s for a role in the film rendition of ‘Z for Zachariah‘, aka the first post-apocalyptic book I ever read! I’m excited.

02) Speaking of Margot Robbie, she was great in The Wolf of Wall Street. Which was a fantastic movie, if you’re in two minds about whether to go and see it I highly recommend checking it out. Will anyone be watching the 4-hour extended cut?

03) Did we all know that Michael Bay is rebooting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movies? What is this madness. My favourite thing to come of this news is the realisation that they’ve apparently got Alex Perry on board to play Raphael.

04) Guess who has a cat? Well, technically it’s my boyfriend’s cat, but she’ll be living with us from now on. So far, I think she hates me.

05) I’m obsessed with researching IKEA furniture hacks. Help me.

06) Paolo Nutini released a sneak peek of his new album, with the first single ‘Scream‘. I’m already hooked on this song. I can’t wait for the full album!

07) Has anyone tried Fitness Blender? I’m curious, and free online-based workouts are always a good thing! I think I might try the kickboxing workout tomorrow.

08) I saw the preview for this movie when I went to see The Wolf Of Wall Street last weekend, and it looks right up my alley.

09) I’ve been obsessed with eating making a Lemon Drizzle Cake ever since my friend Hayley mentioned it on Twitter. I’m now on the hunt for the perfect sounding recipe, and I’ll try and bake it next weekend. Mmm, lemon drizzle cake.

10) Speaking of food, I have an unhealthy addiction to Ingrid’s egg sandwich.

11 Thoughts on “Thoughts of the week…

  1. I am honest to god thrilled about you now having a cat. For serious. Cats make everything better

  2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles REBOOT?! Oh hell yes.

  3. Fitness Blender is what we use to workout because gyms are just not our thing. The programmes are pretty good too, especially the 4 week one for busy people. Also love the stretching videos for lazy days.

Also look into Tara Stile’s yoga series “The Yoga Solution” for LiveStrongWoman on YT. That’s all I’ve been doing lately in my post-flu recovery.

    Z for Zachariah!

    • I can’t wait to get time to have a good long look at the fitness blender site. It suits me perfectly! I’m thinking about combining the FB workouts with some of the Nike Training app ones.

  4. I’ve tried Fitness Blender workouts, I quite like them for something different in my routine from time to time. My current favourite is the 37 min Cardio Workout (http://www.fitnessblender.com/v/workout-detail/Fat-Burning-Cardio-Workout-37-Minute-Fitness-Blender-Cardio-Workout-at-Home/fg/).

I watched that video of Ingrid’s as well, haven’t tried the sandwich but it looks yum! Do you use pesto?

  5. Oooh, Transcendence looks very indepth.
I wish I had an IKEA nearby to stock up on all the things! What sort of hacks are you liking?

    • Well I’m looking at coffee tables at the moment, and I’ve seen a few where they’ve upgraded the top (in one case to a slab of concrete), so that’s the first thing I’m thinking about trying!

      • That sounds excellent!

I really want to just add some glass topping to my dressers with some patterned paper underneath or something… basically so it’s easier to clean as they’re all wood or wood laminate. 🙂
