I’ve started allocating a certain amount of money to spend on ‘things’ for myself per fortnight. I don’t necessarily HAVE to spend the money each pay period (I can save it or allocate it elsewhere), but having that amount set aside helps me keep on top of what I’m spending on things for myself. I recently placed a GAP order of the following goodies using my fortnightly allowance, and I thought I would share them with you in a MustardJumper style ‘things I bought’ post.
I feel like the scarf will be a nice way to brighten up my mostly-black winter outfits. I ordered the jumper to wear over collared blouses with little statement necklaces peeking through. The legging jeans are an experiment, because I need some shorter pants to wear with ankle boots. The pencil skirt is a staple in my work wardrobe, and I need a couple of backups. The baseball tee was influenced by the ASOS tees that Natalie is always raving about. This one looked nice and comfortable, and perfect to either throw over jeans to duck down to the shops, or lounge around the house in. The v-neck is a gift for my boyfriend.
Love this post, and I love the idea of allocating a certain amount per week/fortnight/month to spend on stuff for yourself. It definitely helps keep track of things!
It does! And it’s more exciting buying things when I plan it and I know exactly what it is that I’m wanting for the fortnight.
I’m so glad you did this – I love seeing what people actually choose to spend their money on. Gap kills me with their shipping but their stuff is great.
I generally allocate all of my money me. FAIL.
I find it’s actually a lot cheaper to have GAP parcels sent via Hop Shop Go, and the timing seems about the same anyway.
I love this! I’m going to abstain from spending money on me haha, after my Sephora and MAC hauls (incoming), I’m focusing on getting rid of my car loan.
I have the biggest urge to place a MAC order… I’m resisting for a while…
I love these posts, just casually creeping on stuff you buy
Creep on, sista.
