Autumn/Winter To Do List

Because my Spring/Summer to-do list went so well (ha), I decided to write one up for Autumn/Winter as well. I LOVE winter, it’s my favourite season. I can’t wait for it to arrive – every cool(ish) morning or daytime temperature under 30 degrees celcius we have are giving me hope that it’ll be here soon.

– Make peppermint hot chocolate
– Perfect 3 new cookie recipes
– Go away for the weekend to celebrate Sebastian’s birthday
– Get a professional pedicure
– Paint the house
– Enjoy lazy Sunday mornings in bed and around the table (pots of tea, indulgent breakfast, books)
– Make big pots of soup every weekend
– Re-read ‘The Road’ by Cormac McCarthy
– Buy a nice new winter coat
– Learn how to make a great curry from scratch
– Spend rainy weekend evenings playing board games with the family
– Invest in a good hydrating face mask (and use it weekly!)

So that’s my list for this year, I’ll check in mid-season to let you all know how I’m going. In the mean time, I’d love to hear what little things you love to do in Autumn/Winter to make the most of the cold weather, be sure to leave me some suggestions in the comments below!

  1. Brilliant list – my sister in law just gave me a sachet of mint hot chocolate that she loves so I’m going to try that out soon (not really a hot choc fan so we’ll see) and I love the cookie and curry goals!
I am looking forward to buying a new winter coat this year, skipped last year and it made me sad πŸ™ I vouch for the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask for hydration (smells amazing, too!) but they also have a 10 min version that is meant to be lovely as well πŸ™‚

Mint hot chocolate is DIVINE. Although I’m not sure anything will compare to the mint hot chocolate I always order from San Churro. Yummy.

Thanks for the face mask tip!

  2. I hate Summer too! I’ve often thought of escaping to the Northern Hemisphere during Summer so I can avoid it completely. Sometimes I think it’s just the Sydney humidity that I can’t handle, but a recent trip to Adelaide in 42 degree dry heat made me see that I hate it all equally πŸ™‚

I am seeing some similarities in your list and the one I have going in my head. If you find a good coat – do share!

Haha yes, I think I hate ALL heat equally too. I feel like we should just move to Tasmania and be done with it! I’ll definitely keep you posted on any coats I find πŸ™‚
