Thoughts of the week…

01) I’ve really enjoyed my first week of holidays. One highlight was a mid-week lunch with a couple of my girlfriends at Hermosa Cantina. I’d been dying to check this place out since I first heard it had opened up near my sister’s house, and thankfully it did not disappoint. If you’re a Perth local and looking for a breezy Spanish-inspired lunch, check it out.
02) I’m all signed up and ready to get stuck into my course next week. There was a bit more paperwork than I’d anticipated, but it ended up working out because I literally had zero time to dedicate to study this week. Here’s hoping next week will slow down a little bit and I’ll be able to focus on getting started.
03) For all of my fellow colouring in lovers/Doctor Who fans there is a Doctor Who colouring book coming!
04) Tess shared this video during the week, and I found it extremely helpful. If you’ve ever struggled with wearing sunscreen under makeup, this is well worth a watch. Following Sam’s method has made a big difference for me.
05) Ummm, the X Files Official Trailer has dropped.
06) Apparently there will be a Game of Thrones movie?
07) We saw The Martian last night, and it was so good. I’ve read the book and loved it, Sebastian hadn’t read the book and he loved it too. So don’t be afraid to see it without having read the book first.
08) I’ve been searching for ideas of how to hack a piece of IKEA furniture into a decent looking side table, and in doing so stumbled across countless sites showing you how to hack furniture to suit your cat’s needs. Brilliant.
09) I’ve been listening to a lot of Kings of Leon this week, and this song in particular. They give me such summer vibes, I love them.
10) It’s the AFL grand final this weekend, and I’ve explained enough of the game to Sebastian that he’s willing to watch it. It’s nice having a WA team in the final, I have someone to cheer for! Go the Eagles!

  1. Aw I was so excited to see you mentioned me on your blog! It made my weekend, thank you πŸ™‚

Hermosa Cantina looks great – Wembley has a little pocket of interesting shops and restaurants that I’ve yet to fully explore. And while I’m not a big AFL fan, I am crossing my fingers for the Eagles today πŸ™‚

  2. Ooh, what are you studying?

I heard about the GoT movie as well but apparently it’s not true.. πŸ™

I’m studying a Diploma in healthcare documentation. Nothing too exciting!

And that’s a huge bummer about the GOT movie news being false πŸ™
