January Goals

*Gordon Ramsay voice* Wow. Wow, wow, wow. Can you believe it’s actually 2017? I certainly can’t. But here we are, in a brand new year. I feel like this is going to be a really good year and I hope you feel it too. My main focus for 2017 is to find things that I love, and fill my time doing them. I’m going to work hard in every aspect of my life, and I want to see results by the end of the year. Here are my goals for the month, in no particular order –

* Focus on spending time doing things the that I enjoy
* Spend less energy on wasting time, and spend more time working on fruitful projects that make me happy
* Send through mortgage transfer documentation to the bank
* Get the oven professionally cleaned
* Continue working on the backyard to make it “Summer BBQ“ friendly
* Get a hair cut

I think that’s a nice balance of doing things for myself, and getting things done. Please let me know what your goals for the month are… if you have any!

    With a five week overseas holiday booked for this year and one planned for next year, I made a decision to make 2017 the year I manage my money better starting with one challenge a month and January is the month I will not buy any takeaway coffees.

    If I added up the amount of takeaway coffees bought last year during the working week, I think I will be horrified.

    Wish me luck – I think I am going to need it.

      Good luck! I don’t drink coffee anymore for health reasons, and the amount of money I save every week blows my mind. You can do it!

    Oh, I am with you on the oven cleaning! We moved into our first house (first bought house), and I wanted to get things like carpet and oven cleaning done so that it’s all “new” for us, even though the house isn’t. I just had our oven done this morning by Oven-U – they are a franchise that operate nationally, so I’m sure they have someone in Perth – and cannot recommend it highly enough. It’s like I have a brand new oven! $150 definitely well spent.

      We’ve had ours cleaned now and it is SUCH a relief to have a clean oven again! It’s like having a brand new house, lol.
