Spring Skincare Routine

Paula’s Choice Hydralight One-Step Face Cleanser – After finishing up the Dermalogica cleanser I mentioned in my Autumn skincare post, I have switched back to my all-time favourite. In my opinion this is the perfect facial cleanser. It is a gel cleanser and although it does foam up slightly while you’re using it I don’t find that it leaves my skin feeling stripped or dry at all. I bought the jumbo sized version of the product so you will no doubt see this again in my routine for Summer and potentially even Autumn.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater – After finishing up the Kora Rose Mist I was using in Autumn and Winter, I switched things up and changed to the Mario Badescu Rose Mist. I prefer the smell of this product because it’s more subtle and overall a more pleasant fragrance, but the packaging lets it down because the mist comes out quite heavy and it doesn’t feel as nice to use.

Paula’s Choice 2% Salicylic Acid Liquid Exfoliant – I haven’t used this product in years, but I’m glad to have it back in my rotation. I always try to wear less makeup during the warmer months of the year (if you’re from Australia, I’m sure you can relate to the sensation of your makeup literally melting off your face), and part of feeling more confident with my skin is making sure I keep up with regular exfoliation. I find that it helps to keep my skin clear & smooth and makes me feel more comfortable with going bare-faced.

Darphin Hydraskin Intensive Moisturising Serum – I am still making my way through this gorgeous little product, although I anticipate that I will be finishing it up this season. I’ve really loved using this, it’s a lightweight serum that packs a punch when it comes to hydration.

Paula’s Choice Hydralight Moisturiser – I am also still going with this moisturiser, and this won’t be changing anytime soon as it’s my favourite and one I have had on regular rotation for years now. It is the perfect lightweight-yet-hydrating facial moisturiser.
