Christmas Movie Challenge

My October Spooky Movie Challenge was such a fun way to celebrate Spooky Season this year that I decided to work towards a Christmas themed challenge as well. There are so many Netflix/Hallmark cheesy Christmas movies that I also want to try and watch outside of this list, but these will be the core staples for my Christmas season this year. I have booked some holiday leave in December and I plan on spending the majority of that relaxing, reading, and watching Christmas movies in an attempt to try and round off 2020 on a high note. Fingers crossed!

Christmas Bucket List

In my life, Christmas officially begins on the day after my birthday. And as my birthday was last Friday, Christmas season has officially started. Each year I like to think of a bucket list of items I want to try and accomplish or enjoy before the new year. It’s a silly little tradition but it does make me think about all the wonderful things I love about this time of year, both big and small.

Here is my Christmas bucket list for 2020:

– Complete a Christmas Season Movie Challenge
– Host a Christmas BBQ with friends
– Plan the work Christmas Party
– Write/post Christmas Cards
– Pick a wrapping paper theme
– Look at the Christmas light displays
– Have a Christmas baking day
– Eat cheese pizza & watch Home Alone
– Buy a new tree ornament

Christmas To-Do List

If you know me, you know that Christmas is my favourite time of year. My loved ones start tagging me in Christmas memes on Facebook in November, and from that point on the season officially begins. Christmas Day always ends up feeling like just another day, although of course it’s lovely celebrate with family. The real magic of Christmas for me is in the lead up. The movies, the gift buying (and wrapping), carols, baking special Christmas treats, the lights and decorations, the TREE. There are so many magical things to enjoy and experience. I like to write a little checklist at the beginning of the season, so I can make sure I enjoy every little thing that makes Christmas magical for me. Here’s my list for this year –

– Decorate the Christmas tree
– Write + send Christmas cards
– Christmas shopping day
– Host a Christmas BBQ
– Christmas baking day
– Visit the German Christmas market
– Do a tour of the Christmas lights in Adelaide
– Watch my favourite Christmas movies
– Celebrate at the work Christmas party
– Participate in Secret Santa
– Buy a new Christmas tree ornament
– Eat a cheese pizza and watch Home Alone

Christmas Bucket List 2016

If you don’t already have a Christmas carol stuck in your head as you read this post, you are not doing the season right. I’ve had ‘IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAAAAAAR’ playing on a loop in my head all month (and I’ve loved every second of it). I’m one of “those” people who absolutely adores Christmas and all of the cheesiness that comes with it. Here is my list of things I want to do this Christmas –

– Write/post Christmas cards
– Watch Home Alone
– Bake Christmas cookies
– Watch Home Alone 2
– Pick a wrapping paper theme (as you can see above, it’s RED)
– Watch The Santa Clause
– Go and look at the Christmas lights in the city
– Watch The Santa Clause 2
– Celebrate at the annual Christmas dinner with my girlfriends
– Watch Christmas With The Kranks
– Drive around and look at Christmas lights
– Make a work-friendly Christmas playlist
– Participate in ‘IG Stories Vlogmas 2016’
– Watch The Polar Express
– Organise the work Christmas lunch
– Watch Elf

I’m always happy to add even more Christmas-themed traditions into my life, so please let me know what your favourite traditions are!

Christmas To-Do List

HAPPY DAYS everyone, Christmas is right around the corner! Traditionally I wait until after my birthday (this Friday, for those playing at home), before I let the excitement of Christmas really sink in and take over. I’ve not been feeling it that much this year so far, but I have to admit when the first bars of a Christmas carol start to play – I can sense that happy Christmas feeling creep up. There are certain things I like to do each year around Christmastime, and I thought I’d share them with you all in the form of a handy to-do list. I will report back after Christmas and let you know how I went. Here’s my Christmas To-Do List for the year –
