This was my “last hurrah” splurge before embarking on Project 10 Pan recently. Any beauty obsessed girl worth her salt knows about the now cult-status Naked Palette from Urban Decay. They will also know that this precious gem has been sold out for A VERY LONG TIME. Granted, I could have traded one of my organs for enough cash to buy one from someone selling them on ebay but miracle of miracles Sephora decided to get them in stock. And lo and behold… They are still in stock. Also shown in this haul: MAC Lustre Lipstick in Lustering, MAC Fashionflower Beauty Powder in Apha Girl, MAC Cremeblend Blush in So Sweet, So Easy, Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Adventure, Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Bonheur, Benefit D’Finer D’Liner, the Laura Mercier Silk Road Eye and Cheek Palette and a tube of the Mirenesse Sexy Secret Weapon Mascara which was a gift from Adore Beauty.
The Aussie dollar has been performing like a champion lately, and I know a lot of my fellow beauty bloggers have been taking advantage of the strong exchange rate and doing a bit of online shopping. I am no exception, and have placed a few orders at MAC, Bath + Body Works and Sephora (the elusive Urban Decay Naked Palette shall be mine at last!). Pictured above are my most recent beauty acquisitions: Bath + Body Works Black Raspberry Vanilla Shower Gel & Triple Moisture Body Cream, Dermalogica Concealing Spot Treatment, Barrier Repair and Sheer Tint Redness Relief (all sent for consideration for review), MAC Eyeshadow in Phloof, Eyeshadow in Orb, Softsparkle Eye Pencil in Iris Accents and Mineralize Blush in Buddy Up, Benefit Cha Cha Tint (sent for review), Bobbi Brown Lipgloss in Hot Pink, Co Bigelow Apple Rose Salve, Co Bigelow Blueberry Rose Salve, Liplicious Signature Vanilla Berry Tasty Lipgloss, Liplicious Pineapple Juice Tasty Lipgloss and Co Bigelow Organics Strawberries & Cream Moisturizing Lip Shine.
I go through phases with candles. Well, two phases really, being obsessed with candles and not giving two hoots about candles. Lately I’ve been in the first phase, and have been burning candles practically every evening, so it made sense for me to buy a whole heap of stuff from fellow beauty blogger Anita‘s store (co-run with her mum) ‘Soya Want A Candle’. I ordered the Metro Jar Candles in “Buttercream”, “Caramel Apple”, “Coconut Milk & Peach” and “Sugar Cookie” and melts in “Champagne & Strawberries”, “Creme Brulee”, “Egyptian Musk”, “Lolly Shop” and “Pina Colada”. Anita was lovely enough to throw in a few extra samples of the melts in “Frangipani”, “Cucumber Melon” & “Gardenia” for me. The candles are inexpensive (read: great value for money) and smell AMAZING. I believe that the shop is closed for the moment, as Anita’s mum is away on holiday. But definitely check out their Etsy store if you want to take a look at the rest of the range.
I recently ordered some goodies from Sephora (once again via Hop Shop Go), and they arrived at my door on Wednesday afternoon. Cue happy times. The main purpose of the order was to replace my Givenchy foundation, but if I figured that I might as well order a few other things to make the postage fee worthwhile. I ordered: Givenchy Photo Perfexion Foundation in Perfect Ivory, NARS Soft Touch Eyeshadow Pencil in Hollywoodland (at last!), a tube of the Urban Decay Primer Potion and the new Bobby Brown Peony & Python Eyeshadow Palette (which, by the way, cost $100 less at Sephora than it will be retailing for in Australia). I also picked up a couple of the Urban Decay Glitter Eyeliners for my co-worker, and shipping from Hop Shop Go to Australia ended up being around $30 AUD. Not bad, especially considering how much I’m saving on the Bobbi Brown palette alone!
After seeing various Face Of Australia makeup products popping up in reviews on different blogs I decided that I wanted to try a few things from their line. (lemming lemming lemming) I made a beeline for my nearest Big W and picked up some of the items that I liked the look of. For some reason I was really in the mood for a grey eye look that night, so I also stopped off at the Australis counter on my way past and picked up one of their eye palettes and a few of their lip products. Items pictured above: Australis Intensifeye Wet/Dry Eyeshadow in The Big Smoke, Australis Lip Gloss in Sassy, Australis Lip Gloss in Happy, Face of Australia High Definition Liquid Eyeliner in Brown, Face Of Australia Eye Definer Pencil in Charcoal, Face Of Australia Eye Definer Pencil in Purple, Australis Lip Butter in Ringa Rosy, Face Of Australia Eye Primer in Shimmer, Face Of Australia Eyeshadow in Pearl & Face of Australia Blusher in Outback Primrose.
