Product Review: Ragged Blossom Beauty Eyeshadow in Siren

If you’ve not heard of the brand before, Ragged Blossom Beauty is an all natural, handmade Australian cosmetics company. I was sent 3 of their mineral eye shadows to try out and review, and this is the first of three reviews that I will post on the blog. The company owner Lindy was kind enough to send me three of the more neutral shades from her range, and my favourite of the three is definitely “Siren”. The packaging is similar to a lot of loose dust/pigment eyeshadows I’ve used in the past, as you can see in the pictures below.

As you can see from the pictures, the shadow contains some tiny glitter particles. These look absolutely beautiful in real life, and aren’t completely captured in the still shot. The shadow has a similar consistency to a MAC Pigment, or one of the Napoleon Perdis Loose Eyeshadow Dusts (both of which I have personally used in the past). The shade “Siren” is quite sheer and doesn’t have a lot of colour payoff, so I find that it works best when layered over a neutral shaded eyeshadow. (note: the swatch above has 3 layers of the shadow built up to give that sort of colour.) The Ragged Blossom Beauty mineral eyeshadows are handmade, and free from parabens, talc, oil, fragrance, bismuth oxycholoride, boron nitride, synthetic dyes & animal products (and are vegan friendly). The single eyeshadow pot retails for $9 AUD and can be purchased online from Ragged Blossom Beauty. (note: I was sent this product for consideration for review.)

Product Review: O&M Frizzy Logic Shine Serum

O&M have a terrible habit of producing hair products that smell so delicious I am actually tempted to consume them and I can only imagine that this would end badly. The Frizzy Logic Shine Serum continues this pattern with a delicious combination scent of coconut and mango. The smell is quite strong while applying and using the product initially, but unfortunately doesn’t hang around to make my hair smell edible throughout the day. I love this product and have been using it every day since receiving it last week. It’s replaced the infamous Moroccanoil on my shelf as my go-to hair smoother and shine giver. Don’t get me wrong, I still love Moroccanoil but I’m finding the scent of the O&M Frizzy Logic Shine Serum irresistible, and the fact that it gives good results certainly isn’t hampering it’s efforts in the battle for the top spot. To use, apply a couple of drops to your palms, rub them together and smooth them evenly onto your hair. (note: I’ve been using the product both before and after blow drying, and think that if you have fine hair like mine it’s probably best to use it prior to blow drying your hair to see the best results.) The effect is glossy, shiny hair with noticeably less frizziness and fly aways. It’s been crazy humid in Perth lately, and this product has really helped me maintain (and contain) the state of my unruly hair in the changing weather. The O&M Frizzy Logic Shine Serum contains no parabens, is sulfate free and is not tested on animals. It retails for $31.95 AUD and can be purchased online from Adore Beauty. Product Review: Bath + Body Works Exotic Coconut Body Lotion

Have you ever used a product for an extended period of time, and then every time you use it in the future it takes you back to a time in your life? I’m pretty sure that is what is going to happen to me with the Bath + Body Works Exotic Coconut Body Lotion. I’ve been using it non-stop as my body moisturiser since first buying it last year. I think it’s safe to say I love it. The smell is perfect for summer; it’s light, sweet and absolutely delicious. The smell lingers for quite a long time, which I love because the scent is so amazing. People have actually commented on my “perfume” on days where I was wearing no fragrance other than this lotion. It does a pretty decent job at moisturising, but please keep in mind that I don’t have very dry skin so I’m not sure how it would work for those who need a deeper moisturising lotion than I. The Bath + Body Works Exotic Coconut Lotion retails for $9.50 US and is only available from Bath + Body Works Online. (Note: I purchased mine using parcel forwarding service, Hop Shop Go)
