Get The Look: January Jones @ Golden Globes 2011

Despite not being a sexpot blonde myself, I think January Jones’ makeup at the 2011 Golden Globes is the look I am most likely to emulate. Her flawless skin, beautiful eyes (those lashes! that gold liner!) and glossy yet subtle red lips look amazing. Celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin created the look using the following Chanel products: Sublimage Concentrate, Bronzing Makeup Base, Soft Touch Eyeshadow (in the shade liberty), Perfect Brows Palette, Inimitable Intense Mascara (in the shade noir) and Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss (in the shade excess). What do you think of January’s look? Did it compliment or detract from her less than ladylike ensemble?

Get The Look: Michelle Williams @ Golden Globes 2011

I’m not sure what kind of rock I’ve been living under, as she has been looking incredible for years – but Michelle Williams is a new addition to my “skin idol” adoration list. Would you believe she is 30? Look how incredible her skin is! She glows. Her makeup was once again looking perfect at the 2011 Golden Globes, courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Jeanine Lobell. “We were inspired by the classic beauty of Jean Seberg and Mia Farrow. Luminous fresh skin was key, and a super lashed eye gave a nod to those classic beauties. A fresh coral lip kept the look modern and new.” Jeanine used the following products to create Michelle’s look: Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in B10 (new for Spring 2011), Chanel Powder Blush in Espiegle, Kevyn Aucoin Essential Eyeshadow Palette #2, Kevyn Aucoin Lash Curler Volume Mascara, Chanel Perfect Brows & Chanel Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Chalys. What do you think of Michelle’s look? I think it suits her pefectly, and that hair could not be any more gorgeous if it tried.

Get The Look: Jayma Mays @ Golden Globes 2011

Jayma Mays plays the character Emma in Glee (also known as my current style icon), and her throwback to old Hollywood glamour came together in one of my favourite looks from the night. Celebrity makeup artist Beau Nelson created her makeup look using Covergirl products. “We wanted to create a modern retro look and make sure that overall the look was balanced against her gorgeous black dress.” To create the look, Beau used the following Covergirl products: Simply Ageless Serum Primer, Nature Luxe Silk Foundation, Liqui Line Blast (in the shade black fire), Line Exact (in the shade black), Lash Blast Volume, Lip Perfection (in the shade Flame) and Clean Pressed Powder. To be honest I don’t think her makeup quite hits the mark. It’s just not polished enough to really pull together the glamourous look in my opinion. What do you think?

Get The Look: Dianna Agron @ Golden Globes 2011

I have quite a big girl crush on Dianna Agron. I think she seems very sweet and a little kooky and I adore the fact that she looks like a living doll. Her face is practically perfect, and would be an amazing canvas for any makeup artist to work on. For the 2011 Golden Globe Awards, Chanel makeup artist Angela Levin used the following products to create Dianna’s look: Chanel Ultra Correction Line Repari Concentrate, Clea de Peau Foundation (in the shade 010), Chanel Precision Brow Definer (in the shade Blond Clair), Chanel Eyeshadow Duo (in the shade Khaki-Clair), Shiseido Tint Liner (in Dark Brown), Chanel Inimitable Mascara (in the shade Noir), Bobbi Brown Lip Liner (in Henna) and Chanel Rouge Coco Lip Colour (in the shade Ballet Russe). What do you think of Dianna’s look? I have to admit that I loved her dress, jewelery and makeup but the hair was slightly too perfect looking for my liking.

Get The Look: Christina Hendricks @ Golden Globes 2011

Something tells me that Christina Hendricks lives by the idea “if you’ve got it, flaunt it”. I have never seen her to anything by halves and she once again went all out with the va-va-voom at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards. Celebrity makeup artist Vaness Scali used NARS products to create Christina’s makup look on the night. “I had this vision of a big, doe-eyed, lashy look from the late 70s and early 80s. To keep it modern, I kept the skin dewy with shimmering eyes and added a pop of matte texture on the lips,” said Vanessa. To get the look, the following NARS products were used: Pro-Prime Multi Protect Primer with SPF (new for Spring 2011), Sheer Glow Foundation, Copacabana Illuminator (new for Spring 2011), Desire Blush, Calanque Trio Eyeshadow (new for Spring 2011), Hollywoodland Soft Touch Shadow Pencil (new for Spring 2011), Nuits Blanches Eyeliner Stylo, Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara and Vesuvio Pure Matte Lipstick. NARS products are available exclusively at Mecca Cosmetica within Australia. What do you think of Christina’s look? Do you think it compliments her over-the-top dress and wild red hair?
