November was yet another blink-and-you’ll-miss-it month for me, despite celebrating my 27th birthday, nothing really seemed to happen. I’ve been using quite a few of the same things on rotation lately, but there were still some stand out products that I thought it best to mention. My pick of the bunch for November: By Terry Ultra-Correcting Foundation, Benefit ‘They’re Real’ Mascara, Echolife Floral Facial Mist, b collection by Bloom ‘Barcelona’ Nail Polish & Byredo Gypsy Water perfume.

Mecca Cosmetica) The ‘Rose De Rose’ blush was the first liquid blush that I was ever exposed to, and it is absolutely beautiful. You only need a really small amount of product to give amazing colour payoff, and the blush applies smoothly and evenly without drying too quickly (which can make it hard to blend properly). I tend to apply a drop of the blush to the back of my hand, blend it out with a foundation brush and then apply it to my face. I find it a lot easier to work with like this.
Despite the heavy pigmentation, the blush blends out to be a beautiful gentle pink shade. It contains tiny shimmer particles that aren’t really obvious unless you’re standing in the sun. The staying powder is great, and the blush lasts all day on me, though I do top it up with a bit of powder blush over the top when I want it to really have some impact. One of my favourite things about this product is that it smells like roses. It’s absolutely divine. 01 Mood: Relaxed! It’s night time and I’ve just stepped out of a lovely warm shower.
02 Best thing about this weekend: It’s a 3 day weekend! Which as I’m sure you know, is far better than a 2 day weekend!
03 Last movie I saw: Defiance. It was a beautiful film, very touching. I cried a couple of times, but then I am a total soft touch. Daniel Craig’s accent threw me off a little though, he didn’t seem to settle on one particular accent.
04 What I’m watching: AFL. The Grand Final was today, so no more football for the rest of the year! Woe! But happy times because Geelong won! (My second favourite team in the competition)
05 Makeup lust: By Terry Light Expert Foundation in Rosy Light. I love you, you will be mine.
06 Listening to: Jessie Baylin – See how I run. I have this song on repeat.
07 Skincare Lust: Darphin Foaming Gel Cleanser with Water Lily. Come on, the name alone surely makes you want to buy it too?? Water lily!
08 Haircare Lust: I am really curious to try the Moroccan hair oil that Jessie Baylin swears by. She has practically perfect hair, so if it works for her, I’m hoping it might work for me too!
09 Current obsession: Sweet Valley High. I’m not gonna lie, I squealed out loud when I heard that they are making a SVH movie soon! I am way too excited for this. And why yes, I will be 25 years old in November.
10 Aim for this week: Get my dirty little paws on some By Terry foundation, stat.
