Sephora, Strawberrynet & Haus of Gloi Haul

So when I mentioned slipping slightly in Project 50 Pan, this is exactly what I meant. Having said that, I can easily justify most of the things that I’ve bought recently. Let’s see how I go.

The Carol’s Daughter Rosemary & Mint Clarifying Shampoo & Conditioner have been on my wishlist for what feels like forever, but in reality since I received sample sized packets of them both with a Sephora order. I held off from buying these for quite a while because I need shampoo & conditioner like I need a third elbow, but I saw them pop up on Strawberrynet & I jumped at the chance to buy them without having to pay a billion dollars to parcel-forward them from the US. I also ordered a mega sized bottle of Dermalogica Special Cleanse from Strawberrynet, because I am getting close to finishing the bottle I already have and it’s the facial cleanser I use 95% of the time (iron clad justification). I’m down to the last few drops of my beloved Givenchy Photo Perfexion Foundation and went into a mild state of panic when I realised that the back up I had ordered from Strawberrynet a month or so ago had never arrived (and the payment had been refunded back into my account without so much as an emailed notification but whatever). Thankfully Sephora finally had my shade back in stock, so I ordered a bottle alongside the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner to replace my close-to-being-completely-dry NYX Felt Tip Liner and also some Boscia blotting papers because a gal like me can never have too many blotting papers. So really the only completely unnecessary purchase here was the shampoo & conditioner combo, and I really wanted those so I’m not going to be too hard on myself. Now onto more mindless spending.

So the money that I mentioned being returned into my account earlier? This is where it went. I cannot justify these purchases in any way shape or form because I have enough vegan body products stored in my cupboard that I could probably turn to them as a food source in the event of an apocalypse (note: if I mention the impending apocalypse too much, let me know). So that’s it! My fall from grace well documented and now we’re ready to move forward. I’ve finished up some more big ticket P50P items so there will be a Pan update coming up in the next week or so.

Project 50 Pan (part 2)

06 - Passport Tahiti Moana Body Wash
07 - Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer (I would repurchase this, but I have other moisturisers to use up first before I buy any more)
08 - Flourish Perfume Oil in Sugar (I will definitely be repurchasing this after P50P)
09 - Kosmea Organic Rose Mist
10 - Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant (One of my holy grail skin care items, if I didn’t have another of these in my cupboard ready to be used I would have repurchased and not included it in this tally)

I am busting through these empties like there is no tomorrow… Though having said that, I feel like I might be hitting a dry spell over the next month or so. We’ll see.

Product Review: Dermalogica Sheer Tint Redness Relief

Those of you who know me will already know that I am an avid Dermalogica fangirl. For those of you who don’t, well now you know. As we move through the colder months of the year here in Australia (as type this it is currently 24 degrees celcius and sunny here in Perth) it’s important to work some cold-weather warriors into the skin care regime. At least for me it is, as I suffer from epic red face in the cold and wind. It’s not pretty… First up to the bat is Dermalogica’s Sheer Tint Redness Relief. I have been using this product every day for a few weeks after receiving it for review and I am loving it. “Neutralize, relieve and defend against inflammation and redness induced by skin sensitivity and rosacea with this three-in-one SPF moisturizer. Natural earth minerals provide a sheer green tint to actively counter telltale redness. Licorice, Green Tea, Sea Buckthorn and Ranunculus calm inflamed, irritated skin while promoting skin recovery from previous environmental assaults.” I use this product as a moisturiser, and as I have oily skin this is enough for me but others may wish to layer it under or over their regular moisturiser. I do find that this product has reduced the natural redness of my face and is helping me combat the extra redness that the cold weather seems to inflict on my skin. I also love the fact that it’s green, despite being initially disappointed that it blends out and doesn’t leave me looking like Elphaba from Wicked. The Dermalogica Sheer Tint Redness Relief retails for $77 and can be purchased online from Australian online beauty retailer Adore Beauty. (note: I was sent this product for consideration for review)
