Project 50 Pan (part 2)

06 - Passport Tahiti Moana Body Wash
07 - Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer (I would repurchase this, but I have other moisturisers to use up first before I buy any more)
08 - Flourish Perfume Oil in Sugar (I will definitely be repurchasing this after P50P)
09 - Kosmea Organic Rose Mist
10 - Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant (One of my holy grail skin care items, if I didn’t have another of these in my cupboard ready to be used I would have repurchased and not included it in this tally)

I am busting through these empties like there is no tomorrow… Though having said that, I feel like I might be hitting a dry spell over the next month or so. We’ll see.

Product Review: Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser

When I heard the news that Kiehl’s were releasing a range of oil-free skin care tailored for those like me who suffer from grease-face, I nearly jumped for joy. I am a recent convert to the Kiehl’s brand, but I’ve loved every single product that I’ve tried so far. Enter the Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser. I love almost everything about this product. I love the fact that this cleanser has seemingly helped to reduce the amount of oil being produced by my face during the day. I also love the fact that it’s kept my skin clear and has not caused me to break out (which often happens when I branch out and try a new cleanser). It is also gentle enough to cause no redness whatsoever after rinsing the cleanser from my face (another common cleanser faux-pas). What I don’t love? The way my skin feels when I initially wash the cleanser off of my face. It is a very strange sensation and I’m having a hard time thinking of a way to describe it. It feels almost like it’s been stripped of all of the oil in my skin, but not in a harsh way. Quite strange but not completely unpleasant, if that makes sense? (probably not, sorry). All in all I like this cleanser and would definitely repurchase in the future. The Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser retails for $26 AUD and is available for purchase from Kiehl’s Australia Online. (note: I was sent this product for consideration for review).

August Favourites

Ahh, farewell to August. I am already in a Spring state of mind and looking forward to the warmer weather, though I know that feeling will pass as soon as we have our first 40 degree day. My favourite products throughout the month of August were as follows: NP Set Calming Pre-Foundation Primer, OPI Bubble Bath Polish, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Coral Berry, Lanolips Lip Ointment in Sunshine and Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser.

Product Review: Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer

I am a relative newbie to Kiehl’s skin care, and when I placed an order for my long lusted after Cucumber Herbal Alcohol Free Toner I decided to order the Ultra Facial Moisturizer to go along with it. I’ve never really settled on a day-to-day moisturizer. I do have a soft spot for Dermalogica ‘s Active Moist but I’m still not sure that it’s holy grail material for me. Now that I’ve been using it for a little while I think I can safely say that the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer is fast on it’s way to becoming my new favourite and is sitting on the precipice of grail’dom. I love it because it is lightweight and fragrance free, and leaves my skin feeling richly hydrated without being too heavy. It does take a little bit of time to sink into the skin, so I generally have to wait a minute or so before applying my makeup. I have sensitive skin that is prone to breaking out when I introduce a new product into my regime and as of yet the Kiehl’s Moisturizer hasn’t had an adverse affect on my skin, so I think that is a good sign. Also, as superficial as it is and has absolutely no relation to the quality of the product whatsoever, I really love the packaging and have always loved the Kiehl’s brand aesthetic. The Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer retails for $22 AUD and can be purchased online from the Kiehl’s Australian website.

Beauty Haul: Kiehl’s Skincare

Beauty brand Kiehl’s recently launched their very own Australian website, showcasing their product range at the new lowered Australian price points. I decided to try out their website to see what the service was like (and to take advantage of the free lip gloss gift with purchase they had at the time) and placed an order for a few products I’ve been dying to try for quite a while now. I ordered the Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner and the Ultra Facial Moisturizer and received free samples of the Creme de Corps, the Ultra Facial Cream and Lip Gloss in Black Raspberry as a gift with purchase. I liked the personal touch that came in the form of a handwritten note from one of the Kiehl’s staff. Unnecessary, but certainly sweet. (note: Yes I realise that I am currently on Project 20 Pan, and yes I realise this makes me a big ol’ failure, and no I don’t care.)
