After my giant bottle of Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel ran out, I decided I wanted to try out a more ‘cheap and cheerful’ cleanser option instead of forking out the $70 for my holy grail of cleansers. (which I will be repurchasing again in the future despite the hefty price tag, don’t get me wrong – I love the stuff) As I’d had success with Neutrogena in the past, I decided to give the new Pink Grapefruit cleanser a try as I’d seen it mentioned in quite a few beauty blogger haul posts at the start of summer. At first I loved the smell, it’s punchy and fruity and is the perfect pick me up in the morning. It does get overwhelming after a while though, and after a few weeks of use it’s starting to smell more sickly-sweet than delightful. As a cleanser, it works well for my skin and the only complaint I have is that it is slightly too drying for me. It has kept breakouts at bay though, which is really all I look for in a cleanser. I won’t be repurchasing in the future, because I discovered (via a comment left on my blog, so thank you to the courteous reader who let me know) that Neutrogena’s parent company Johnson&Johnson partake in animal testing on their products. If you do still wish to purchase the product, the Oil-Free Face Wash (Pink Grapefruit) retails for $14.99 AUD and can be purchased from leading supermarkets and pharmacies throughout the country.
As with my Top 10 Makeup Products post, this is a post dedicated to the top 10 skincare products that I use and buy time and time again. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes, Dermalogica Precleanse, Dermalogica Skin Refining Mask, Clarins Beauty Flash Balm (I use this as a primer for nights that I will be heading out for a long time, or I know there will be pictures of me being taken), Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, Trilogy Organic Rose Hip Oil (to be honest I prefer the KOSMEA Rose Hip Oil, but I am using up this bottle of the Trilogy before repurchasing another), Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, Ole Henriksen Blemish Attack Roll On, Kora Balancing Rose Mist and Dermalogica Skin Prep Scrub. What are your top 10 skincare products?
