Beauty News / Weekly Roundup

> This week Estée Lauder launch their Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator, a breakthrough targeted eye treatment that dramatically diminishes the look of dark circles using a first-to-market cooling ceramic applicator. It retails for $95 AUD and is now available for purchase from Estée Lauder online.

> ORLY Australia are looking towards Spring with their fresh new polish collection “Happy Go Lucky”. ORLY Australia’s Creative Director Fiona Hay says “Rainbow nails are a new fun way to bring fashion to your fingers, experimenting with a different vibrant colour on each nail. We are also seeing the rise of ‘rebel nails’, which involves painting eight fingers in one shade and the other two in a contrasting bright tone.” The new shades are Fresh, Flirty, Frisky and Frolic.

> Another new product to keen an eye out for will be the custom designed makeup brushes from Benefit Cosmetics that will hit Australian shelves on July 23rd. The soon-to-be-released brushes feature a powder/blush brush ($39), foundation brush ($39), powder shadow brush ($31), concealer brush ($34), cream shadow brush ($31) & a hard angle/definer brush ($28).

Newsflash: ORLY Professional Nail Care

I am taking a break from my embracing of all things winter to post this picture of the ORLY Professional Nail Care Limited Edition “SWEET Collection” for those of you living through warmer months right now. (or for those of you who don’t love Winter as much as I do, and are dreaming of the hot summer days to come later on in the year…)

Oh, the pretty. The six-piece range from ORLY includes: Pixy Stix (opaque raspberry crème), Lollipop (smooth lilac crème), Lemonade (lemon sorbet crème), Gum Drop (light turquoise crème), Cotton Candy (peachy pink crème) and Snow Cone (chilly blue crème). I think Pixy Stix has my name all over it! The polishes retail for $18.95 and you can search for a stockist at the ORLY website.

NOTE: Has anyone tried the ORLY professional nail care range before? What were your thoughts? I have not heard much about the brand before, but looking at these colours definitely makes me want to check them out!
