It’s that time again! I have participated in Project 10 Pan
twice before, and both times were reasonably successful. This time I will stick to my second method of finishing up 10 products – no matter what category they fall under. So 10 products that can either be haircare, skincare, body products or makeup. Hopefully this will help me curb my impulse beauty product buying. I seem to have fallen into that trap again. (that and buying too many books!) Please feel free to join in and do a Project 10 Pan alongside me!

It’s taken me 3 weeks and I am already close to completing my second (and modified) version of Project 10 Pan. I do have one confession to make. I may or may not have impulse purchased a tube of Lanolips – in rhubarb, if you’re wondering – after hearing SO many rave reviews of the product. So far it definitely lives up to the hype, and I shall post a review soon. In the meantime, lets turn our attention away from that little project fail and instead admire my incredible product finishing skill. Seven down, three to go!

So after finishing my first Project 10 Pan a little while ago, it seems like I am addicted to finishing up my products before purchasing anything new. Which is great news! (at least to me &/or my wallet…) So I am starting up a second Project 10 Pan. This time I will try to use up 10 different products, regardless of type. So this could be makeup, skincare, body products or hair products. 10 products finished up before I purchase anything new. I will still allow myself to re-purchase staples in my beauty cupboard like cleanser, moisturiser etc. Because I generally only ever use one particular product for these things. So here we go! P10P2 begins…

I have quite a few Dermalogica products that I want to re-purchase, and a couple of items from MAC that I have been holding out on buying for a while but after that I am thinking of starting up another no-buy type of challenge. If I do, I’ll be sure to post about it! How are those of you who are participating in Project 10 Pan going? Has anybody else finished? If so, how long did it take you?

So close! In fact, if I went through and threw out a couple of products from my cupboard that I know I’ll be getting rid of, I would be able to finish the Project today… But I do have a couple of things I still want to properly finish, so I’m guessing by the end of this month I’ll be done. Throughout May I managed to finish up the following products: Dr Brand Pores No More, Benefit Eye Con, Stila Lip Glaze in Cranberry, Dermalogica Skin Prep Scrub, Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream, Kerastase Expanseur Extra-Corps, Pantene Nourished Shine Conditioner, Wella System Professional Repair Shampoo, Wella System Professional Repair Cream & Kerastase Micro-Voile Protecteur. Not bad! This meant that I had completed the Makeup stage of the Project, and allowed myself a little spending spree on a few items that I needed to replace (foundation & mascara) and a couple of things from MAC that I had my eye on (instant chic blush & eyeshadow in paradisco). Not long to go now! How are you all doing?

I’m happy to annouce that I am about halfway through the
Project 10 Pan challenge! Yay! Throughout April I managed to use up the following products: NARS Lipgloss in Chihuahua, NARS Lipgloss in Sweet Revenge, Trilogy Organic Rose Hip Oil, Terax Crema Conditioner, Pantene 3 Minute Miracle & Loreal Preference High Shine Colour Conditioner. Not bad! The makeup is definitely taking a lot longer to use up, but I know I’ll get there eventually.
Last month I had started to write a list of the things I want to purchase once I’ve finished the project, but I’ve decided against that now. There is always something new I want to try, so I’m going to just treat myself to whatever I really want when I’ve finished up my different 10 pans. How is everyone else going?
