02 Best thing about this weekend: Having no set-in-stone plans and being able to do whatever I feel like doing. And when!
03 Last movie I saw: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Epic. And heartbreaking. I hadn’t seen it since the first time I watched it at the movies, which for a Potternerd is a pretty big deal. I don’t know why I put it off for so long, but it was definitely good to see my Harry again! (ha, nerd.)
04 What I’m watching: Dr Who. I am introducing myself to this show because a lot of my online friends seem to like it, and we have similar taste in other things so I figured I would probably enjoy the show. And I do! Matt Smith is adorable!
05 Makeup lust: I was lucky enough to receive the NARS Orgasm Illuminator as a thankyou gift this week, and I am already in love with it. I get the feeling that it might be the summer alternative highlighter for me, with the Benefit High Beam as more of a winter product. The gold shimmer in the highlighter makes me crave beautiful bronzed skin. (which I will never have, but it’s nice to dream.)
06 Listening to: Jay Z: Eminem – Not Afraid. Yeah, I like Eminem. Shocking! I first started listening to his music in high school, became obsessed, went through my rap music phase (I still love the good stuff) and always had a soft spot for ol’ Slim Shady. I do appreciate the fact that he calls himself out for his last album being crap. Because it was. The one before that was pretty bad too, but this song has a definite old-school Marshall feel to it.
07 Skincare Lust: I have actually been really lazy with my skincare lately, but my love for the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is going strong. This is one of my skincare saviour products. My skin gets an instant lift after I use it.
08 Haircare Lust: I have been sampling a little bit of the Kevin Murphy Hair Resort throughout the week, and I love it. It’s definitely going on the shopping list. Have long, fine hair and want a bit of wave to it? Check this product out. It works.
09 Current obsession: Cooking! And the Woman’s Weekly $12.95 cookbooks. I blame Masterchef.
10 Aim for this week: Mentally prepare myself for the changes in my job (more responsibility, a different section, etc etc.), attempt to find time to workout sometime during the week rather than just on weekends and stop spending so much money on work lunches!
