It’s that time again! Who’s ready for another giveaway? This is the last December giveaway (posted in January of course), and it’s a lovely one. I’m teaming up with Subtle Energies to give one person the chance to win two products from Subtle Energies – the Amla Replenishing Eye Cream and Mogra Rejuvenating Gold Cream (15ml). To enter, simply leave a comment below letting me know what you do to pamper yourself over the holiday period. Please note that this giveaway is open to Australian residents only. Entries close on January 15th 2015 at midnight, and the winner will be drawn on January 16th 2015. Good luck!
Winter is coming. THANK. GOODNESS. I love the colder months of the year, but I tend to fall victim to the weather and let my skin-prep upkeep fall by the wayside (mostly because I’m freezing cold and dying to get out of the shower as soon as I step in). This year I plan to make more of an effort to ensure my skin is freshly scrubbed and moisturised
AT ALL TIMES where possible. The first product I’m trying out is the Subtle Energies Rasayana Detox Body Scrub. I love a gritty body scrub. I love the grit. This scrub has a very subtle grain to it, which works wonderfully on my sensitive skin. It’s suggested that you use the scrub once a week, which I do, and it’s enough to keep skin freshly buffed (and as an added bonus, the Rasayana Detox Body Scrub can be used on freshly waxed skin to help prevent ingrown hair). The scrub has a spicy herbal scent to it – which is not something I normally reach for, but it’s not unbearable. All of the elements come together to make this scrub really feel like a ‘spa’ product. The Subtle Energies Rasayana Detox Body Scrub retails for $39.50 AUD and is available for purchase from Subtle Energies.
I have heard many good things about the Subtle Energies brand, so I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to trial one of their face masks. If you’ve not heard of Subtle Energies before, their brand ethos is based on the knowledge, experiences and research of Farida Irani. “Farida has been internationally recognised for being a pioneer in Ayurveda Aromatherapy and in reviving this ancient aromatic branch of Ayurveda (the Ancient Indian science of medicine, which literally means “Science of Life”).” The Dry Mix Pitta Mud Mask is designed to draw out dirt and impurities from the skin leaving a clearer and more radiant complexion. It is a dry mask, which means that you will have to mix it with water yourself before applying it to the skin, and because the packaging is filled to the brim (value for money win) it can be quite a messy experience. Those of you who like your mask application to be quick and mess-free should probably give this a miss. On application the mask sets quite quickly but doesn’t become hard to the point of cracking. It’s also really easy to rinse off, and left my skin feeling clean without feeling stripped and also there was no tightness or redness apparent in my skin after removal. The Subtle Energies Dry Mix Pitta Mud Mask retails for $52.80 and can be purchased online from Adore Beauty. (note: I was sent this product for consideration for review)
