I’m not going to lie, the first thing that drew me towards the Bobbi Brown Peony & Python collection was the name. The second thing was the packaging (see above). Bobbi Brown teamed up with fashion label Tibi’s designer Amy Smilovic to create the Peony & Python collection, and I jumped all over the eye palette as soon as I laid eyes on it.
Sorry for the random looking swatches. The colours are: Opal (eye shadow), Cobra (shimmer wash eyeshadow), Lavender (metallic eye shadow), Plum Orchid (eye shadow), Cool Ivory (eye shadow) & Eclipse (eye shadow). I like the fact that there is a mix of different types of eyeshadow throughout the palette, because it opens a few doors as to the kinds of looks you can create with the colours. All of the eyeshadows are smooth and easy to apply, though the lighter shades are not very opaque (especially Opal) and take some building up to get any sort of colour payoff. I ordered my palette from the Sephora website using parcel forwarding service Hop Shop Go, but the Peony & Python Eye Palette is also available for purchase on the (new) Bobbi Brown Australian website for $150 AUD. (note: the markup on this product in Australia is huge, I purchased my palette for $50 USD)
