And that’s it! I manage to fit all of those things quite easily into this bag, which I like because I feel like I carry a lot of crap around with me, even though none of the items listed above seem unnecessary at all. I’d love to see what you have in your bag this month so if you follow up with a post like this please leave a link to it in the comments below!
I am as voyeuristic as the next blog reader, and “what’s in my bag” posts are one of my favourite types of posts to read. I thought I might try and work monthly (or seasonal, I haven’t quite decided yet) bag posts into my general blogging routine, just to see what you guys think. So without further ado, here is what is in my bag for July.
The bag I’m carrying at the moment is the Mimco Heiress Satchel in the shade garnet. Included in the bag are: The Kikki-K 2011/2012 Diary, my work security pass & smartrider (train travel pass), EOS summer fruits lip balm, Firebird Bath & Body perfume oil in sugar, Eclipse Mints in berry (these are delicious, but I’ll be going back to the regular mint flavour once I finish this tin), Bath + Body Works dipped strawberry anti-bac pocket hand gel, Burberry reading glasses case (I was wearing the glasses when I took the picture), Rebecca Minkoff wallet & my Ray Ban tortoiseshell wayfarer sunglasses and sunglasses. Not pictured are my mini umbrella (I had it drying out when I took this picture) and the book that I’m currently reading, which I really only carry with me on weekdays. And of course my iPhone, which I used to take the picture. Oh, and my car keys, which are hanging up in the kitchen. Fascinating.
Inside my everyday makeup bag are the following: A bandaid (I can’t remember the last time I had to use a bandaid, but I guess it’s better to have one and not need it than need one and not have it), a travel sized can of Rexona deodorant (I’m not a huge fan of the scent of this deodorant but it’s one of the few that Rexona have released so I just have to deal with it), 2 x cotton makeup pads (I don’t know why I have these in here, but I like having them on hand just in case), YSL Touche Eclat #1 (I use this under my eyes before I leave work for the day, just to brighten my face a little bit), Egyptian hand mirror (one of my closest friends brought me this back from Egypt and I love it), Boscia tea tree blotting papers (my current blotting paper of choice – and a must have for any oily skinned gals), Tarte amazonian clay blush in dollface (I also use this before leaving work if my makeup has faded a little bit throughout the day, it just helps give me a bit of a boost), 2 x bobby pins (for hair emergencies), Lanolips lip ointment in rhubarb (my perfect ‘my lips but better’ lip gloss), Mason Pearson comb (my hair manages to tangle into a knotted mess by the time I walk down the windiest street in the city to get to work every day so this is necessary), Sigma F30 large powder brush (to apply my Tarte blush).
