Thoughts of the week…

01) It was recently announced that The Killing will be returning for a third season. I’m so excited to see Holder and Linden on my screen again. The first two seasons of the show were amazing and I’m interested to see what new case the detectives will be working on this time around.

02) In other TV news, The Walking Dead returns on February 10th.

03) Jennifer Lawrence has really grown on me lately. She seems refreshingly down to Earth.

04) This is one of the creepiest (and funniest) things I’ve seen in a long time. There are some incredibly odd characters out there.

05) I caved and ordered some products from the Kate Somerville skin care range. So far so good.

06) Related to the above, I have been single-white-femaling Lauren Conrad like crazy over the past week. LET ME BE YOU LAUREN.

07) Was anyone else as disappointed with the American Horror Story season 2 finale as I was? I hope next season they stick to one or two storylines and flesh them out rather than trying to pack a million different plot lines into one season.

08) I’ve been dizzy for 3 days straight. I think I might have an iron deficiency. It might be time to see a doctor (and probably start eating meat again, bleh).

09) I celebrated my 5 year anniversary at work during the week and was rewarded with a bonus/gift voucher for my efforts. I’m planning on buying some new things for my house with it so stay tuned for another ‘to build a home’ post sometime soon.

10) Happy Australia Day to my fellow Aussies!

  1. Are they really bringing back the killing for season 3?! AMC seemed so against it at the finale of season 2! Thats very exciting but I think I might miss Rosie.

    • Yes they are! I was so excited when I found out, but then I was wondering if they could create a story as in depth as the Rosie plot. I can’t wait to find out!

  2. I love Jennifer Lawrence. Her GIFS are hilarious.. x

  3. I love Lauren too! Have you looked at her new Beauty book?

  4. Hooray for GIFS! Totally agree on #3 – her “chubby” fingers walking down the red mani-carpet. haha!

As for AHS…. I don’t know. Part of me adores the chaos and just goes for the ride, but the whole alien thing…. just – what? Ryan Murphy always starts things and then never seems to know where to go with them, and I feel like that’s what happened with this thread. He said in an interview it was ‘deliberately’ left up in the air so people could speculate. Balls. They kept making a point of stressing how important Kit was to the aliens, how the kids were destined to do something major. Then we never found out why they chose him and the kids grew up to be a doctor and a lawyer. Big deal.

  6. Omg that etsy article! So creepy! I was really disappointed with AHS too. I wished it was more of a horror like last season, this season was just weird!

    • I’ve seen some crazy stuff on Etsy before but nothing as creepy as what was in that article! Maybe they could base next season of AHS on some weirdo’s Etsy store haha

YES disappointed by AHS season finale! In fact I didn’t find the whole season to be as enthralling as the first season.

I am intrigued by this Kate Somerville business… but am not buying ANYTHING new, I still have about 4 big tubs full of luscious product from my time at Adore and I am now paying half a mortgage, so…! 🙂

    • I agree that season 1 of AHS was more rounded and enthralling in general. I’m still looking forward to season 3 though, especially as all of my favourite actors are returning!

I should also be using up the 4 tubs of product under my bathroom sink buuuut…..
