Thoughts of the week…

01) It would appear that I have finally caught up with the rest of modern civilisation. Yes, I started watching Downton Abbey.

02) I’m loving the Nike Training Club app and I’ve been using on my iPad to supplement my at-home workouts throughout the week. Be warned, the leg workouts do not fool around.

03) Song of the week is Resolution by Matt Corby. His voice is pure heaven.

04) Ben is LOVING the cold weather.

05) I’m excited for Under The Dome to start. I read the book by Stephen King a couple of years ago and it was an interesting story. The ending was totally different to what I’d expected (not sure if that’s a good thing or not) so I’m curious to see what other people think of it.

06) Submitted for your enjoyment: Ray Charles, the blind golden retriever puppy.

07) I saw The Great Gatsby on Friday night, and to be honest I was disappointed and it left me feeling slightly flat. Side note: I still believe that Romeo & Juliet is Baz’s greatest work and one of the best movies of all time.

08) If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be inside a tornado, now you know.

09) Sigma are offering 10% off with the code SUM2013 throughout June. If you’d like to support me as a half-assed affiliate, feel free to click through this link to do your shopping.

10) I’ve been OBSESSED with rewatching the old series ‘Keeping up Appearances’ lately.

Product Review: Kerastase Bain Satin Shampoo

If I had to pick only one shampoo to use for the rest of my life, it would be this. This is the shampoo that I go back to time and time again, the one that I’ve repurchased at least five times since first discovering it, and the one that never lets my hair down. It cleans my hair thoroughly without leaving it feeling stripped or dry, and it has a lovely fresh scent that lingers on the hair for quite a while after rinsing. I wash my hair every day and this is gentle enough shampoo to use that often and it always leaves my hair feeling soft and silky. If you’re worried about the price point trust me, I feel you; but a little bit of this product goes a long way so I wouldn’t be too concerned about getting your money’s worth. I use the number 1 version of this shampoo (for normal to slightly sensitised hair), and it is also available in number 2 for dry and sensitised hair. The Kerastase Bain Satin Shampoo retails for $39 and is available for purchase from StrawberryNet.
