29 Thoughts on “December Giveaway #2 – Clear

  1. The batiste xxl powder has been a late discovery- it just gives my pony tail more volume and makes it look more or a style

  2. My favourite discovery this year was coconut oil, my hair feels so soft after using it.

Hair Colour Mousse – so much easier and less messy than regular hair dyes.

Definitely getting my hair cut to shoulder length. After having extra long hair this means no more split ends and cutting time blowdrying!

  6. Tangle Teezer! Costs a fraction of the price of my Mason Pearson, but seems to work just as well and is super portable.

  7. My Argan oil elixir RPR, favourite and best discovery because amidst the sea of products promising the world but not delivering, this one comes through on every level.

  8. No longer having highlights has improved the condition of my hair.

Argan oil. It makes my hair feel so soft!

  10. Matrix Argan Oil Shaping Cream, wonderfully smoothing but not greasy at all on my fine hair

My discovery was shine serum! I had always dismissed this product as one extra step I couldn’t be bothered doing, but now I iust love using it after a blow dry to help make my hair smooth and glossy! I’ve found it really improves the look of it, without making it too extra greasy.

Head and shoulders. Its great and my hair is dandruff free.

  14. The VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler. I’ve never been able to blow dry the back of my hair to any reasonable standard because I always tangled the brush in my hair and then got bored as it all took too long! With this styler my hair sits perfectly and I’ve even managed to achieve some different styles. I get so many compliments on my hair these days – probably due to sheer relief from my long suffering friends as they don’t have to look at the mess any more

  15. Lift and blow drying hair to the other side of head. Gives more volume. Also rinsing off shampoo with cold water. Prevents frizz

  16. I have so many great hair products discoveries this year (and most of them in the last month!) but I’ll go the L’Oreal Elvive Fibralogy Thickening Treatment Double Serum, which is a lovely leave-in treatment that adds body and volume to the lengths of my hair. I’m onto my third bottle and I’m pretty sure I can’t go without it now!

Mine was not only a hair-care but also a sanity-saving product – cheap hairspray (very) liberally sprayed over Miss Eight’s hair has miraculously seen NOT A SINGLE head-lice infestation this entire year!

I would say coconut oil. My hair always feels silky soft after using it. Don’t know why i didn’t try it sooner.

  20. I discovered the “mum bob”. Apparently I had one! Once this discovery was made, I had my non mum-jeans wearing butt in a hairdressers chair re-shaping my do into something resembling a J-Law pixie cut. Now I can play with all the cool kids. πŸ˜‰

  21. I discovered something that truly surprised me. I bought a Sunsilk shampoo and conditioner, simply because I was travelling and they were in smaller bottles. I was pleasantly surprised at how healthy and shiny my hair started looking.

I scored alopecia mid year and for me steroid injections are a true hair survival asset-not what you probably intended but hey just wanted to say πŸ˜‰

To keep my hair short, I have had my hair long for the last 10 years and in 2014 I cut it short and it is so much better!

  25. My best discovery was U-tube hair styling videos, I can now braid my daughters hair and other cute styles instead of the pony tail they have had for the last couple of years πŸ™‚

My daughter alerted me to using a dusting of baby powder if caught short with oily hair.
Used once or twice a week, it has allowed natural oils to nourish my hair between washes!
